Looking across America and Australia at the moment, the world is experiencing some really severe weather. Florida is expecting 25 inches of rain today mixed with hail and the occasional tornado. Charming. We in Connecticut are having a gully washer of a storm with multiple lightning strikes all around us. Looks like we'll get 2 or 3 inches of rain. I'm not even sure we'll keep the power on long enough for me to post this so I'm typing as fast as I can.

Gotta go. The dogs are barking at every odd noise right now and there's a full winter of hadwood firewood in the guise of a former maple tree that just made itself available on the north end of the manor. No damage to the house, livery, barn or shed. Yet. Fingers crossed.

It's all about that moment when metal that hasn't seen the light of day for generations frees itself from the soil and presents itself to me.
