well, the ace 350 is 297.45 and comes with (they say) 383.55 in free accessories. It shows what ya get on there website, & the AT Pro is 594.95 with 460.45 in free stuff. The Ace 350 is holding at near a new price on other sites USED, without the extra's.          I don't know... Just looking at trying a new detector with the screen. Wondering if maybe the newer-?- technology is really there & truly seeing if there better than what I use?

Well Mate, The AT has opened up a lot of peoples detecting to Wading the shallow waters etc coz that's where a lot of folks loose stuff of value. It has had a lot of success in prospecting circles etc.
Being water proof you won't have to work about getting caught in bad weather, and having that meter does help more than I care to Admit,, But its all depends on what your Plans are as in use  and enviroments etc.

Thanks for all your thoughts on this Ridge, I'm not going to be detecting in any waters let alone be out in the rain, lol. No, I don't melt but there's no need to hunt in the rain as I can always go tomorrow? The AT Pro is waterproof but I understand that's about the only diff. in it and the 350. If I was scuba certified, no doubt I would be getting a full fledged underwater  detector. I cannot hold my breath that long, lol

Cash, the AT is a pile deferent then the 350!   Made for Wading not Scuba.    Only good for 10FT.   Different Freak,   Different set all to gather.  More important, Different Ground Bal set up.

10 foot would be my limit anyways, certified or not.... Grin Grin Grin  I did the 1st & only dive in my life at 39 feet to set a flag for my lost brother-in-law. I was tossed & turned like a feather in water. Currant was STRONG this day...

Yea, Me Too.   I used to be able to free dive down to 100ft.   My Bet is I couldn't hold my breath for 20 seconds any more.

We found that the AT-pro has “difficulties” handling the salty and mineralized ground in and around Melbourne's beaches.
I can't tell you how will response on fresh water –never tried it-but if you want to use it on the beach perhaps do a bit more research before you buy one

Yeah that would be a problem, Aussie Ground Can and Does Try the Best of them, The only place worse would be on A Meteor or A Blacksmiths workshop.

I'd love to Give my PI a Run back home.
