Guys, when you start talking about the Earth swapping poles over the history of time it's not like a physical swap where the Earth flips from one end to the other, it's a magnetic shift in the core itself so North becomes south polarity and South becomes North Poles there is no actual physical land shifting. That has always been a very common misunderstanding when scientists discuss the shifting of the poles of the earth.

In my opinion the global warming we hear about in the news is basically sensationalism in media and has no true basis in fact and that they we experience is usually a cyclic event throughout time.

Dont believe what so called scientists say they discredited this guy only to find out his findings were correct thats why academics dont have a clue and polititians believe morons who know stuff all.
And who pays for all the cock ups? you do in higher taxes to fatten the politicians wallets. Never has any politician offered to take a pay cut or reduce the insidious pensions the award themselves. Pensions were supposed to be equal to everyone and the select few should have the same but they are not.

dont know about iceland but greenland really was green when it was settled by vikings in the middle ages, during a hot climate cycle.
man back then was just barley able to stop the global warming they outlawed cars, heavy industry, living in sky scrapers and started walking and riding horses and living in mud huts, and when atlantis would'nt adopt these principles they sunk it, and the world was saved Rider

I think that we are in a warming trend, the real question is are we the cause or is the planet in a warming trend. If you look at the geological history we are in a planet warming trend.

If I'm thinking back correctly as to scare tactics I would start with Y2k, then Mad Cow, Then the Chickens had to be killed, then 911 terrorist everywhere, then the earth's running out of petro, then Global warming and now the swine flu.. Of course the price of everthing has to double and triple for your protection! Anybody see a pattern? Oh, I almost forgot Aids.......Maybe we need more Government Control and less freedom or maybe a one world government will fix everything. It's a sad situation. Shucks.....I almost left out the poor bankers,

Naturally I wouldnt want to be the scare monger of prophet of doom but maybe these guys knew something we dont and are just coming to grips with the reality of their predictions.
If you look at world events during the last few years you too will see a connection of what was predicted would happen and is happening right now.
Why was information about the Comet that struck Britain in AD 562 supressed from the people?
That comet destroyed Bolivia and parts of Britain too. Could that same Comet have been the demise of the Mayan population?
How about the Aztecs too great races that for some unexplainable reason dissapeared off the face of the planet.
Maybe the effects of that Comet were the reason for their sudden demise? More investigations need to be made about this and some universities in America are taking this matter of Bolivia seriously now.
Politicians are not scientists astronomers, they are not even historians they are the parasites of society that fatten their wallets at the expense of yours hard labour and savings. Politicians know stuff all and dont care as long as they have their 3 meals a day.
