Just wanted to say thanks to everyone who gave their opinions regarding which detector to buy for 'him indoors'. We've gone for a Garrett 250 after hearing so many positive comments about Garrett and he is a kid with a new toy  Smiley. So he now will spend time searching the garden and getting used to the noises etc.  Then we just need to find land to search on.... do you just knock on farmhouse doors and ask?
Anyway, thanks again. Your advice is much appreciated  Smiley

I would join a club first till you get use to the machine and the invites to hunt and the places that are free to hunt will be made known to you as soon as you get in to it,

good luck with your new machine
