I buy a lot from Ebay. Got one mis identified item and realized the seller was selling counterfits. Reported and they boted the seller. He's back under a new id.

Have sold only three items. Two violins and dog tool. If you never buy from new people you wouldn't get the bargains I sold. They cost me more to ship than I made selling them.

Ebay needs to be approached cautiously and use paypal. I got my money back from the counterfit seller.

e-bay is just like anything or place else you could buy or sell something; there's honest people and conmen.  However e-bay has made it easier recently to research peoples feedback.  99.9 percent positive feedback could still be an unscrupulous seller who has not gotten caught very much, but now you can more easily read the details of that .01% and decide for yourself.

You are making a Very Broad and All encompassing statement my friend.  Many people have had problems but if you chek out the Sellers, you will find the Vast majority of them are Honest.  I've been a member for Many years and have Bought and sold Many and various items.  I have had a few misunderstandings but You will find that you can clear up misunderstandings by contactng the Seller right away when you find a problem area.  I Never have been Cheated by any seller on Ebay.

I too, buy, and sell on e-bay often. I would say it is relatively safe, given the number of people that are on e-bay. I have never been ripped off, had minor issues, but they were easily resolved.Foiled
