I'd love to see a show of a person taken from a middle income bracket... put him or her on the street with nothing but a metal detector and a metal detector book for dummies. I'd love to see how much someone can bring in if it was their only bread and butter... I bet they can give a person making minimum wage a run for their money. What do you think...Huh?

That's a tough one, mate. Even the best and brightest are often only finding handfuls of modern coinage. They'd starve.

Here's one for you.

Q: What do you call an unmarried full time Treasure Hunter?

A: Homeless.

It's all about that moment when metal that hasn't seen the light of day for generations frees itself from the soil and presents itself to me.

Well I am thinking in the city where you have a tot lot every few blocks... Buger king has a Jr whopper for .99 cents.. Jack in the box has a large .99 cent menu....drink water.... there are a few motels in the area for about $30... I don't know.. sometimes just walking down town you can collect about fifty cents in pennies without a MD... I just think it would be a hell of a challenge and interesting... In perth it may be a bit of a challenge as when I was there it was a bit more spread out... but think of a city like chicago.. New york.... Los angeles.. I think it could work...  Wink

haha I like the idea, would be a lot more entertaining than most of those reality shows out there now.

Yea.. I really can't stand.. american idol..survivor... the bachlor... big brother.. and any so called reality show.... I say put a bunch of criminals on a big island in the middle of no where... no food no clothes nothing... (but of course there is plant life and small animals).... and see how long the survive...

they would just wipe each other out within a week. criminals wouldn't know the first thing about catching small animals for survival. Besides, they would probably drink the salt water if they're near an ocean and be done with within days.... Would make for some interesting shows though. At least you would know it is actual "reality" and not this staged "reality" stuff you see on t.v.
