You might ask why?  and so you should, you ought to know anyway Im really pissed off with selfish people who read my hard written work that takes ages to write not taking into consideration what you have to go through in order to gain the experience in order to pass it on to other people and when you do, and you put it into print and put it up here for all to read What do you get?   Today was the last straw. Only 1 person out of 49 said a simple thank you.

I have tried and tried and have given up I dont like VULTURES and SCAVENGERS.  Sorry but if you cant say a simple thank you thats what you are and thats why  your interested in T/hunting to get something for nothing.

At the end of the month I intend to delete all my material i have put here in the way of articles.
I put my heart and soul into this hobby saying thanks now is too late you should of done it earlier when you had the chance.

to those that have appeciated my work I say a big thank you.... you can all blame the seagulls and scavengers for my departure.  Christian knows me and knows what im like and i dont go back on what I say or do.
I have always admired Christian as a human being and genuine person.  This has nothing to do with him whatsoever.
I may leave some of my material behind for you to think about.

No use giving me a reply Christian I am not going to change my mind im out of here. End of month.

Guys, I have given it some thought and I can understand Alan's frustration. Alan takes much time to share really really good informations with others - like many of our members do. All ALan is asking for in exchange is a little thank you. And yes it can be frustrating if you see hundreds if not thousands of people reading your work and prospering from i without just saying a plain thank you.

I had written Alan several message in the past saying thank you for his great work. It does take only a few seconds.

While this site is free it doesn't cost much to write down some of words thanking an author for his work.

So next time you read a great articles from one of our members please think about it.

All of these people are devoting much of their time and energy into sharing their hard earned knowledge and research with you, so please give them some words of thank in return.

Hello Alan, I have read your posts and praised your work. Especially the work you have done on British history. This is a thankless job. Very seldom do I receive thanks for my posts but that does not discourage me from continuing to post info to help other treasure hunters. I do it because I get personal satisfaction. Also many times I will quickly read a post but I don't have time to reply. I hope you will reconsider your decision.  Clapp
