I have read a few of Alan Hassell's posts in the past and have never thanked him (if memory serves me correctly) nor do I intend to give any "retroactive" thanks here.

However, I will speak out against Alan Hassell being banned. It doesn't seem fair. Though most of what he wrote did not interest me, he had been a decent contributor to this forum. Even though he is leaving us, I ask that his uncharacteristic outburst be overlooked in view of his past contributions. One unsavoury happening should not sully the man's entire works here. I ask that he be unbanned and allowed to make a dignified exit.

Alan was not banned at first , he quit because we did not pad him on the back enough . If he was banned later on it must be becuase of the way he treated some of the members . Cornelius

Unfortunately Alan has become very abusive, threating the staff of the site especially me. I am not a puppy but Alan unfortunately definately took it too far. We are here for enjoying the fun of treasure hunting but not for becoming the culprits of someones ego trip.

Hi Alan,
I post quite a few things on this site they are of interest to a lot of members, to some not, sharing info can be frustrating when you do not get the responce you want, I have asked questions about my finds because they are found here in Canada many lost by US soldiers in 1812,
I have to say I haven't read a single post of yours because I am selective and shallow water hunting is something I consider I do not need to learn.
Dont be so upset because you dont get a thank you all the time , keep posting and stop the name calling!!!.

Gee, I am new to T/Hingg and like others have said I check new post read a little if it is something I am not interested in leave no reason to say it is not interesting. I read what is interesting to me and IF I have some words of wisdom to add, or if I was REALLY in lightened will I say something. Yes a thank you is a nice gesture but if I am digesting something I am not thinking about Thank you at that time I am thinking about the lead and the signs that I missed.

Sorry I do not like Bentley's or "Rollers" I do not even like Caddies I like fullsize 4x4 pick ups with 8 foot bed to carry all my junk in. Yes even for a daily driver. I did not realize that I had to aspire to be like you ("it is a free world"). Not having read any of your "donation" to this site before I can not attest to there value.

What you have posted in this post makes you sound like a TRUE British SNOB, and I do not like having friends that act like you are acting. You strike me as a person who is all about "The numbers" look at me I did this that and the other or look at the cars I drive.
