So I was trying a new elementary school sand park today cause the one near my house was full of kids and I was attracting a bit of an audience from a small group of kids who were pretty curious as to what I was doing and if I found anything cool.  Once we had a short chat, they were happy and they continued playing.

As I was packing up, another young fellow in the 12ish range came over to ask what I was doing, and I explained it to him too.  He wanted to help dig and I told him if I could make it back and he was around, he was more than welcome too.   He then proceeded to tell me he was in the hospital for the next 4 weeks due to anger problems and wasn't allowed in school until it was over.  I wish I had another detector, who knows, maybe some peaceful MDing will help him out.

Yeah, I feel bad for kids like that.  At least he is getting help, in the old days a lot of those kids were pushed to the side and forgotten about.

I use to carry a $20.00 Radio shack detector in the van for that kinda stuff.

I gave it away to a kid that would wait at the park on the off chance I would show up that day.   LOL

I seen him and his buddies out there over the following three months .

Gave me some Warm and Fuzzy thoughts for a while.

Then He stopped showing up.

I guess the Shine wore off.

Well Spent $20.00 in my book.
