To all,

I had to the opportunity to meet BittburgAggie, better known as BA, for the first time last evening at a metal detecting club he belongs to and I assure you he is a very nice person. Very likeable. I also met his fine wife and detecting buddy. He wanted to see my new Tesoro Vaquero, as he was thinking of purchasing one. He also brought along a 4 x 7 Lobo widescan and a 5 3/4 Tesoro concentric coil and allowed me to borrow them for a couple of months to see how they work on my machine. The 4 x 7 is one of his favorite coils, and it looks like at this point it will be one of mine. What a swell guy. If it wasn't for Thunting.com I may have never met him. Smiley

Today I ordered a VibraProbe 580 PI underwater pinpointer. $129.95 US. I only hope it will work as well as the one Xavier is building. No tuning, µP control, sensitive only at the tip, Tilt on and off (no switches), vibrate only mode, and Auto battery saver. Plus it's a PI! Watertight to 100 feet. Do you think I will like it? Grin
Carl

A bad day at gold prospecting or metal detecting is better than a good day at work.

Well done. You got a new friend and a vibrator. Are you sure you can tell which is which?

GD,
Well they are both good things to find. However, I don't think BA would appreciate it if I grabbed him by the legs and started swinging his head across the ground searching for gold. 70 years old, but don't need glasses yet Grin Grin Grin

A PI pin-pointer will  1)give you much more depth  2)is not going to be affected by mineralization  3)can be used under water

The problem is that BA has been known to vibrate every now and again. Makes your computer screen jittery.

Me??? I've been known to explode now and again. With BA's vibrating and my unstable chemistry . . . disaster!
