Go Up Go Down

Hey everyone,

Lets see how everyone's been doing this season, as for me I've been away down south helping my Mom recover from Knee surgery, but I'll add some pics of what I have found soon.

Lets see the treasure?

LOL, Jim
 Great

Go Up Go Down

I managed to locate an attic cache for a family friend who lost their dad suddenly and prematurely. They had literally torn the house apart looking for it. It was inside the attic heater air plenum, underneath the insulation in a compartment he had built in when he installed the heating coils. Hot water system. Hot water from the boiler is heated and sent to the coils which resemble a large radiator. A fan blows air through when the coil is the correct temperature. Beneath the fan is a box with an access lid that hid the cache of papers, bearer bonds and cash.

No photos, for obvious reasons, but my bank account got a fairly decent boost from the grateful family. Dad had bragged often about keeping his cache a secret until he passed on but never thought he's just pop off without warning. By the way, he died of nothing at all. Just keeled over and the autopsy could not determine what happened. Very odd.

It's all about that moment when metal that hasn't seen the light of day for generations frees itself from the soil and presents itself to me.

Me nothing to tell except that I'm making head way with my new coil so perhaps some day I will be able to tell a good story too.
