Go Up Go Down

My group happened to dig an apparent treasure site. We initially stumbled upon a rock as big as two AUVs put together. For a number of days we tried to break it hoping to find what is inside. After failing to do so. We thought that it may just be a decoy. So we looked on the area north of this big object. At a distance of about 7 meters, we again found another rock. Not as big as the other one but little less difficult to break. After a day or two, we managed to break it only to find a rectangular stone where a pyramid of what looks like bars of gold with one big bar at its apex was engraved on it. We continued the dig until we chanced upon a cube roughly 1 meter on its side. At the bottom of it we found a chain tied to an old nail. It has 7 circular chains tied to each other. The other end is connected to a flat concrete floor which looks like the cover of tunnel. We again tried to dig a hole through a jackhammer but it proved too tough a stone to break. After so much vibration, the wall of soil on one side suddenly collapsed only to expose two concrete pillars. Beside one of the pillars is a small concrete pyramid structure. We decided to break the pyramid structure and try to dig through it. This time we found this part of the concrete floor much more easy to break. We dug until we reached the point where we thought we have located a staircase. Down the third step, we encountered this soft, fine and cold sand. We thought that this is finally it. However, after just a few dig, the mound of sand suddenly collapsed. One of our team members fell inside what looks like a tunnel. Fortunately, he suffered just minor scratches. However, he suffered difficulty in breathing after being exposed to the tunnel air. We decided to temporarily hold the operation. We are, at this time wary of some other booby traps in the dig site. Hope through this forum we can solicit advices on how we can safely continue with the operation until we hit the jackpot, so to speak. Waiting for your advice...

Very interesting.
Could you please post pictures of some of the object you come across?
I presume that this site is in Paraguay and not Philippines

The dig site is in the Philippines. Actually, I am not at the dig site but everything that is happening at the site is relayed to me by our people there. I have posted the events as they happened. The group is now having second thoughts wary of the danger that lurks ahead. That is why I joined this forum hoping that we can be properly advised on what we should expect at the site. Hope you would understand that I cannot fully show the details of the dig for security reasons.

While I do read everything I can on pyramids. Its possible I guess. The fine sand is consistent with a older hole. The collapse is why you stay out of older digs. You would need heavy equipment and dump trucks to dig holes like that. 60' feet is the minimum I have ever heard a treasure room was from the entrance. Most are much more. I just dont understand why Japanese treasure doesn't follow the rules. I would stick detecting the beach on this one.
