I'm with Seldom on this one who would of thought it would reach the prices it's been at and the research will pay of
because even small amounts of it will feed you and any info you can get has get you closer to success

Seldom, don't go giving AU and the 4th floor crew any ideas.     We don't need Homefire conducting super-nova experiments out in his trailer in the high, dry deserts of southern New Mexico.

Maybe but the lab made diamonds are not the same as real diamonds and am sure there will be many differences between natural gold compared to lab gold. Plus the cost of equipment to set up a lab to produce any large quantity's would  run into the 100's of millions of dollars. So unless you are planing on living 200 more years don't lose any sleep over it.

It's unbelievable that nobody is talking about the super elevated temperatures and pressures that an experiment like that needs for....  Shocked

Why should we?   Did you think we weren't paying attention?   Realistically, the first gold to be produced in such a "lab" would cost far more to create than it would be worth on the open market (except for it's being the first...which if it could be properly documented would make it worth what it took to create it),  so it's a waste of resources even if they could do it...... ergo the idea that Homefire and the 4th floor crew might try to do it in the basement lab.  Grin
