Homefire's doing battle with his computer.   Had to Restart, Boot from Original Windows disc.   Lost 1/2 my life in files.

Oh Well.


Gold has already  Been Man Made!

Using a Supercollider they bombarded something?   I think it was lead?

It only cost them about 5 million dollars to make something like 4 molecules of Au!   LOL!

Yeah, I read about that way back when.,......seems to me someone published under something like "Alchemists Dream Comes True".    Of course, we don't know for sure that none of the old time alchemist succeeded, do we?

Why should we?   Did you think we weren't paying attention?   Realistically, the first gold to be produced in such a "lab" would cost far more to create than it would be worth on the open market (except for it's being the first...which if it could be properly documented would make it worth what it took to create it),  so it's a waste of resources even if they could do it...... ergo the idea that Homefire and the 4th floor crew might try to do it in the basement lab.  Grin

Alchemy or the creation of a fabled elixir, known as the Philosopher's Stone, capable of turning any base metal into gold or silver, the same also acting as a universal medicine said to indefinitely prolong youth and keep one from death. Alchemy has been around since the Egyptians, over the last 2000 years most advanced civilizations have experimented with some form of making gold or silver out of base metal. Your link only brings it into the 21 century.

The link is just a theory when most geologist believe gold was formed in the sense of being placed on the earth when the earth was formed by cooling down from gas ejected by the Sun some 4.5 billion years ago. Gold deposits were laid down as rocks formed as part of that cooling process.

The amount of gold in the earth has been constant since then. None has been made on earth, either naturally or by alchemists

All this info is new to me  I was told by my grampa that u find gold were the pine trees have cones on trunk insted of the limbs it proves arsinic that were u find 7
