Go Up Go Down

Hi Guys

A few weeks ago I go a Saleae8 logic analyser, and what a great device it is to have it plugs into the USB port and can show you what is going on, on 8 different outputs of your PIC. I tested it and it was working 100% I even posted some photos of the results obtained by using it on

I then put the device away and about three weeks later decided that it was time to  put it though it's pace again, however when I plugged it into the USB port it started to get excessively hot and nothing more was happening (The unit was dead) I immediately contacted the Saleae support centre explaining to them what had happened, how the unit started getting hot and that it had been working great the time before and had they had this kind of problem before. The next day I received a very friendly reply telling me that they did have this issue before but that it had been resolved and if I wanted a replacement unit I should furnish them with my postal address, well I did not expect that kind of response but rather one telling me that I probably exceeded the maximum voltage or that I shorted it some how. Today upon opening my emails I found a mail from Saleae telling me that my replacement unit is in the post with a tracking number and all. (I was very pleasantly surprised) I'm posting this here for you all to know what an excellent service these guys have given me and also to thank them for it. Those of you who already have such a unit will be able to confirm what a great addition it is in a workshop.

All the very best
Xavier

A bad day at gold prospecting or metal detecting is better than a good day at work.
