Go Up Go Down

Yesterday I was on my way to the store for my morning coffee break and I look down into the creek that runs through the back parking lot at work. There is a big grate there where it goes under the road and stuff washes up there sometimes. Well that day was no exception. There in the grate was a big metal thing looked like a gas can maybe. I joke with my buddy about it being a box full of cash. Ya never know. I forgot about it till this morning. There it was again still waiting, and we joke thinking it's garbage. This evening I'm gonna check though after work.

So I goes to lunch walking by again. It's moved. I can see under the murky water a handle and a dial and part of the door has been peeled back but it's still closed.  Shocked

My bud and I make plans to extract it for sure now, I pick up some rope on my way back at the auto parts store. Then as I walk back to the spot I see the city pull up, unload a backhoe, reach in, and snag it out.  Angry

Ah well.... Cry
