This is an interesting topic ... In my area I dig most of the year. Many of my colleagues from my country usually laid down one's arms. They begin to read literature, study old maps, sharpen shovels Smiley

Same here in the UK really, but your weather gets really cold hence why those shovels need to be extra sharp.
