I've heard of people using toothpaste but I've also heard that if you don't watch it you can run the risk of scratching the surface of the coin.

i clean all the coins i keep, i never sell them unless i find a 1943 wheat copper penny, are any one worth alot of money hh

That 43 copper wheat would be a nice find to sell. Just be sure it's the real deal.

People try to pass off it's steel friend as the real thing quite often I hear.
