I keep a jar (one I can hold in one hand) with pea gravel in it filled with water maybe some soap or a bit of vinegar. At the end of the day of hunting when I sit down to watch T V I put the dirty coins in and gently rotate the jar back an forth for a bit. this works great to get the grim off and readable. Just don't mix the copper wiyh the silver.
