Has anyone done much with ultrasonic cleaners for cleaning up some finds?

I have used a cleaner similar to an ultrasonic with some luck and am entertaining the thought of purchasing a ultrasonic cleaner to add to my arsenal of cleaning methods but wondered if any of our members here have had much luck with them.  I've heard stories of some people having a fair amount of luck with them.

They work but just a plain rotary tumbler does the same thing -  it just takes a little longer.

Thanks for the input.  I do have a tumbler that I use from time to time tto clean finds and it does seem to work ok.  Thought the ultrasonic might be better on more delicate items or items I didn't want to run the risk of scratching or something like that.

Thanks again.

Hopefully the broken leg didn't have you out of the hunt for long last year.

A lot of times I would just tumble them but every now and then I run across something that I think an ultrasonic would work better for like jewelry and the such.

Does it seem to get the job done pretty well for you?
