Go Up Go Down

one million years ago~back in the mid 1970's-my old man would take me & my brother hunting for stuff after church on sundays.we used to go to a place called indian hill.old indian village was around there for who knows when or how long.

anyways.. there was also an old(what was left of)house by itself on a hundred acres more or less.the wooden beams that used to support the floors & roof had roman numerals carved into them/had wooden nails ect..we found(mostly the old man)lots of old stuff around there including some old powder horns w/skrimshaw stick figures, dates,& names on them.

i found this old half dime under a bunch of rotted wood with my dads help(i guess we both found it)but he let me keep it. Grin

Hey Doc, Like Goldfinger said, you never forget your first ones! What a lucky man you are to have a father that instilled the TH'ing bug in you at an early age. How Cool is it that you've kept this beautiful coin your whole life? Cool You've probably used it a few times to show the doubters out there that YES, there is treasure to be found, when they ask the famous Stupid Question; do you ever find anything with that thing? Grin

You know buddy, it just occured to me after reading a fair number of your posts now, that you sir are without a doubt, a writer! Years of experience, a way with words, a desire to share with others, a sense of humor and a zest for life, makes you a very qualifed candidate for the field of writing. Smiley Have you ever considered writing a book? Cool

LarryB

Dr.D you crack me up! Grin I think that you are way too modest myself. Maybe you could give that cavern story another try? So far, you've peaked my interest! Wink If it's nice enough to go detecting where you are and the ground isn't too frozen, I'd be swingin' a wand and letting the decorations sit for another little bit, if I were you. Wink Then again I am a bit of a procrastinator sometimes, especially where doing boring junk comes in to play.

I live in the Capital City of Canada friend. Yup, the one and only, Ottawa, in the beautiful province of Ontario.

Have a good one...
