We have had gold coloured $1 coins here in Canada for years..we call them loonies as the coins have a loon on them..we also have $2 coins made of 2 differant metals we call toonies..they have a Polar Bear on them.
you think you have no money on you until you reach into your pocket..you can have $15 worth of these things..great for vending machines, and I know people that throw them into a jar to save them..it really adds up at the end of the year!!

I still like the old large silver dollars, those small ones get mistaken for quarters
