Go Up Go Down

Hello everyone! I have a coin that I have posted on another site. Everyone was real helpful in identifying the coin so far. Here is what I have read and learned.

It was a Token issued for a shortage of money for Prince Edward Island. The years of mintage range from the early 1800's up to the late 1800's. The is not a super early version. The early version was done in America, and could be identified by the flag flying on the ship. Later on, the British began producing this coin, and it was easily spotted by the Union Jack (which my coin has).

My question is, I've searched and searched and I cannot find a website that tells me what 'vintage' coin this is... what sort of identification mark I need to look for.. etc etc etc. Before I run out and buy a $300 book to identify old Canadian coins, does anyone have anything that can help me??

Thanks.
