Is there a website that reviews online brokers of precious metals like cnet is for electronic gadgets?

I'm interested in either reading some articles about reviews and recommendations regarding buying/selling gold & silver bullion online. Which ones are recommended? This needs to come from an independent review, not someone that has a vested interest in that particular company. Thanks

The tiniest bit of research is all you need. I have a few rules I apply.

1. If they don't have a phone number, run away.
2. If they are doing business only over the phone - no walk in trade - run away.
3. If they are not licensed to do business in their state - run away.

Google and the other search engines can turn up these three bits if information. The length of time they have been in business is also helpful. When you are selling bullion gold or scrap gold at over $1200.00 per ounce, I would not trust a review site run by some kid who thinks he knows it all. That's just asking for trouble. Do your homework. Make a few phone calls and find out about the company you are dealing with.

A former member here named Tabdog recommended a great site here where he sold a season's worth of gold and posted the invoice with his personal details removed. You can read the thread here.

It's all about that magical moment of discovery when metal that hasn't seen the light of day for generations frees itself from the soil and presents itself to me.

I read the post. That was just what I was looking for (for the selling aspect), but I'm also looking for an online-broker that I can buy from possibly other buyers but they control everything. I went to bulliondirect.com and they seemed pretty good. Problem is their shipping expenses seemed a bit high. So, I'm still shopping around. Apmex seems good too, but they won't keep/store any of your bullion at all, they just ship it directly to you, and that's expensive as well (especially for those on a very limited budget like myself).
