Hello members,
After a back injury in a gymnastic event while still a teenager was troubled for years with back pain.
When I had a recurring problem the general medical advice was to "rest."
However for many years now if I over do it and get out of bed in agony, the best cure is exercise. Stretching, walking etc.
There is no better relief than to swing a detector, combines stretching with walking and digging.
May not work for everyone but am a strong believer that exercise is far more beneficial than resting.
As some say, "No pain, no gain." "If you don't use it, you lose it."

Cheers
Peter

Good for you Peter!  Metal detecting/treasure hunting is good for a variety of ills that plague us all!  Keep it up!  And good luck with the detecting!          Detecting

I like the way you think. This one's going on my wall.

It's all about that moment when metal that hasn't seen the light of day for generations frees itself from the soil and presents itself to me.

I use a teeter hangup for my back pain.  My spine is compressed from all the weight I have lifted in the past.  by hanging upside down relieves the pressure
on the spine and takes the pain away.  tried a quackopractor waste of time and money.  I never felt any different or releaf from them.  they actually hurt me
by squashing my chest from pressing on my back.   Cry

his friend purchased a cheap one and it collapsed when he was on it and now hes in bad shape.  the teeter is really well make.
