Go Up Go Down

I was watching this show on Netflix today. It's a bunch of short stories of the old west told in humorous fashion. One in particular caught my eye as I recall reading it here many years back. It was the story of an old miner working a stream to find a lode. I looked but can't recall if it was originally printed here or a reprint, or even who posted it. Yes it was a long time back. Some of the old timers here might have read it. Anyway it was fun watching a tale I had read brought to life in a very well done adaptation. I did a quick search but I didn't find it, but perhaps I didn't look in the right spots.

Just thought I would share this "find"  Wink

Hi Idaho Jones!  Thanks for the story.  I don't, off the top of my head, recall the story.  Great to hear from you after such a long time!  Good to have you back.  Don't be a stranger anymore.

Thanks Arfie,

I pop in now and again but I haven't been doing much the last few years, at least hunting wise so I rarely have much to post. Always fun to see what others are digging up though.  Smiley

I keep thinking next year and then somehow its november  Grin

That story was about pocket mining, but I cant seem to find it. It was quite a long time ago I read it.

Planning a trip over to your neck of the woods next summer, go poke around Camp Carson again. Haven't been up there in forever.

IJ, the last two years have been really slow for me as far as MDing goes, too.  Hope to get out more next season.  If you do get over this way, before you leave send me an e-mail (on my profile) and let me know if you are coming.  Maybe I can arrange to meet you.  I haven't been to Camp Carson in several years myself.  I do know that the Forest Service has closed some of the old roads into there, but I may have found another way in (maybe).  I can send you my phone number if you come over.  I'm still in La Grande.

Sounds like a plan! I used to go in off the Granite Sumpter Highway but I do recall even last time I was there they were closing stuff down.   Sad

I will definitely hit you up before I head that way.  Smiley
