Christian,

Been busy working on my truck, took it up to my daughters place, about 16 mi. from my place.  My son-in-law was going to give me a hand putting lift spindles on it and put a leaf back in the rear.  Well he got the old spindles off but I had to put it all back together because he had to give a little time to the county.  The reason it took so long was I had to catch a ride with my daughter after she got off work and then I only had a short time before I lost the sun and being a septuagenarian doesn't help.   Well it's all back together and in fact I just finished putting Lift shackles on the rear just as the rainy season kicked in.  Now all I need is new tires and a front end alignment and set for the winter and waiting for warmer and drier weather after the first of the year.

Good to hear from you Gramps!  Did you get out this year to do any gold panning in the streams?  Sounds like the truck is near completion.  Good for you.  Take care friend!

Hey there Arfie, no I didn't with my transportation up on jack stands for a good part of the summer I had no way to get out there.  The biggest problem with the truck being up at my daughters was that her place is up in the woods and they don't get much air movement.  So the temp up there is about 10° higher than it is down at my house, so if it's 70° down here in town it's 80° up there.  It doesn't cool off up there until about 5: in the evening add to that waiting for parts makes actual work time short.  And with my MS I'm not very tolerant of heat, add to that the lack of stamina at my age and a bad knee, you can see why it took me so long to get it done.

Take care guy and have a good winter.
Dennis
