April fools.   4/1/2014 here in America is April fools day.   That looks like a cheap Chinese detector.  That money would be better spent on a Bounty Hunter.  Just my opinion.

Hmmm you can't get much for a $100 now days, I was looking here in Belgium and under 270 Euro it's crap in fact even at this price it's crap, if you want something decent it will cost 400 to 500 Euro
So I guess for a kid as a starting machine it could just do the job.

Regards
Xavier

Well in this country and probably most of the world it's January the fourth.
I will be more careful when I write dates next time so we all on the same page.
The same detector (physically the same under a different mane) it's on eBay in US for over $140.00 US.
It's obviously a Chinese clone of something or other, but you can't put one together for the price.
So if you are in Australia and want to try detecting or you want something for the grand kids i think for the price it's OK.
Or if you want a box a coil a stem and a handle for your DIY it's all there for a $99.99

I would not suggest anyone to buy one of those.  Not to bad talk anyone or anything, but those detectors are junk.  You can get a Bounty Hunter for the same price and they are durable and they actually will find metal in the ground.  Only buy proven name brand detectors.  I wouldn't want someone looking to get into this hobby to buy junk and just be discouraged and quit.  They would never have a real chance to see how much fun detecting can be.

Unfortunately you can't get any other detector in Australia for $99.99.
And i wouldn't discard it before seen a field test report. Of course I am not expecting a spectra3 or an AT pro performance.
By them way i only reported a cheap detector sale on the post. Members can judge by themselves before rush and buy one.

I for one would like to know how these detectors perform. I once bought a cheap Japanese radio, it beat the crap out of an expensive German made one, the thing is you never can tell till you try it out. Could be a cool beginners detector after all.
