Hey guys,

Have an interesting question I have been pondering...?

1. Given Gold, Platinum, Silver etc (Precious metals) are created as the result of imploded stars, Nebula and then scatted across the Universe. That as part of the matter that gravitated and came together to form the planet we call home. That within this matter was included these precious metals including gold as dust and a lot of it. How is it that gold can be found in higher concentration in some area's and not at all in others.

My thought is that Volcanic activity and erosion is the key. But why are some area'a devoid of these metals and others thick with it.

2. Given they say we have just over 172,000 Tonnes of gold mined and realised in our history so far. There must be a hell of a lot more gold out there, given the way the gold arrived and its distribution throughout the earth. There must be a lot of it within the Magma deep below us....?

 Cry

I think the  answer is in the question. Gold veins in the crust as they were squeezed out of the core. O.k. you  geologists out there, Enlighten us.

Yep.    My thinking is as the Earth was formed all gold was drawn into the Core.  Volcanic and Tectonic actions have put it in places we find it.
