2 White's Goldmasters, 1 Coinmaster...all Vintage, all Awesome!

Hey folks, I have two quite old whites goldmasters from the 1970's era. Both were working great until BOTH got the same ailment.....Their Metal/Mineral knob, which is a multi-turn pot. has froze up on both of them. ...Ideally I would like to find parts enough for both of them, but just getting ONE running would be incredible. I wanted to find an old one but the one I saw on Ebay was priced incredibly high. I do NOT want to spend $100 on a potentiometer....I am too poor for that action. If anyone might have an old girl like I do, that doesnt work maybe , but the metal/mineral pot is still turning....Thanks for any help..

You won't have to pay that much. On eBay they range in price from around $10.00 to $30.00 depending on brand name and value. You need to find the value of the pot first by reading the resistance on the outer two lugs with a multimeter. First disconnect the end wires and read the resistance. Then reconnect them so you can remember where they go. Order a replacement. Here is the most likely value that Whites used to use back in that era:

That is for a 5k pot. Yours may be different. The vernier dial will be very helpful later. Trust me.

Yes, not once but more then a few times.    First I don't like being charged to Buy and Sell.

Private sale is better for me.

6 bucks and free shipping! Wow! Excellent price. I remember what the 10 turn mechs alone cost in the 70s.

I know. I ordered a few just for spare parts. Not the fastest shipping but coming from China, what can you expect?
