uploading error

hello , i don't know why , i wanna upload some softwares and documents but i can't ?  the reply is : " an Error has occurred " " Warning Downloads path is not writable! /var/www/thunting.com/web/smf//downloads/

i click on " download " upper side of the first page , it put me here : You are not allowed to view links.

, i click on Software section down the page , i click on ADD a download ,
i put " title " , "category"  , "description" , "upload file" and "add download" , that's all

  Nickel said he was having issues the other day.  Not sure if it was a Flash Issue or what.  Not heard any more.
