But more of a site handicap. Was gonna share some finds and first tried full size photos, too big but then tried my small resized ones for emails and some forums, but my 640 by 480 (kb?) is still too large. What gives?

Just didnt know where to put this question.

In the download area is a file called PhotoResizer which works on Windows - all versions. There is no install for it, you just run it from your desktop or a folder of your choice. Free.

Downloaded and ran, large ones still wont load and neither will the smaller ones i resized while back. Guess i have to open that program and basically manually upload the file names, oh well. Thanks anyway golddigger.

How big did you leave them after resizing? There is a 500k limit per picture and 1.5m limit per post. You might have to put them onto 2 or 3 posts instead of one.

Like i said above 640 by 480. Thats the smallest option to choose from on my windows photo thing but can do a custom size that i have had to to do for avatars. Maybe i will load up some little pics later, thanks.

Does the utility you have come with an option to change the dpi?  If so, reduce the dpi rather than changing the dimensions directly.  If you get it at 300 dpi or so, it should post fine.

Much appreciate the help, probably just make them smaller than what windows calls small. Cant imagine what the problem is though.

Hi,

This is probably the best windows image resizer on the net, Free and open source, the amount of downloads and review say it all. I have been using it since it's conception.

download it here, it has a full install for windows. After reading it's features, go to the download tab at top;

Thanks aussie, i already downloaded and ran the one required or meant to use for this site and that didnt work so basically just figured out they have to be like 100 kb or something. The resizer first posted also had good ratings but seemed pointless to me.
