Well, according to the news the satellite may have been sighted skipping over the atmosphere in Hawaii, maybe in the Pacific between Hawaii and California, maybe in California, and may have photographed parts actually coming down near San Antonio. One news cast even mentioned the Philippines. Wonder how long its gonna take until they actually figure it out.

It fell all over the place. That's my story and I'm sticking to it.  :Smiley Just spotted a map showing off the coast of Washington State and Canada. Including a debris field possibly reaching on shore. Maybe the contest should have been how long will it take to figure out were it fell.  Wink

Yea , It seems we don't have any winners.   I lost my faith in NORAD!    I thought they was tracking Zillions of space junk and MISSILS!    Remember them?

They seem to have lost this one.  LOL!

Well, here's the latest. Don't know if we would have a winner though.

NASA’s decommissioned Upper Atmosphere Research Satellite fell back to Earth at 12 a.m. EDT (0400 GMT), as Friday, Sept. 23, turned to Saturday, Sept. 24 on the United States east coast. The Joint Space Operations Center at Vandenberg Air Force Base in California has determined the satellite entered the atmosphere over the Pacific Ocean at 14.1 degrees south latitude and 189.8 degrees east longitude (170.2 west longitude). This location is over a broad, remote ocean area in the Southern Hemisphere, far from any major land mass. The debris field is located between 300 miles and 800 miles downrange, or generally northeast of the re-entry point. NASA is not aware of any possible debris sightings from this geographic area.

And

NASA says those new calculations show the 20-year-old satellite entered Earth's atmosphere generally above American Samoa. But falling debris as it broke apart didn't start hitting the water for another 300 miles to the northeast, southwest of Christmas Island, just after midnight EDT Saturday.

I guess I'll put my neck on the Block here.

They said on KOBTV New Mexico someones roof took a hit from what they shown as a peace of 4 or 6" Stainless Steel pipe.

They shown a Hole in is roof and the recovery of that and a few other pieces of the same landing on his property.

The way things are going these days, I don't know weather to call KOB a Lire or think the mess has been blanked (EDETED) from life.

I know what I seen on the 10:00 News.   Now I can't find anything more about it.  LOL!

SomeOne is playing HEAD games on this deal.

Go Up Go Down

Hey Homie,

Looks like a few pieces skipped across the ionosphere &  spashed down in my neck of the woods, or should I say Sea.
The Northern Atlantic which is alittle ways away from the Northern Pacific, but that's my story & what I saw looking at the sky and I'm sticking to it...quite possibly within 500 miles of my location in upstate NY near Albany?

haha somehow, I doubt I'll win anything other than a: Hey Jim where ya been man?  Great

Cheers,
Jim
