I just started back mding a few weeks ago. Its been about a year maybe two.I took a furlo from work in january. so ive had some extra time.and just got laid off today so
now i'll have a lot of time. so here are my finds.today i found my first 1946 rosie and monday i found my first 1934 silver quarter. in my yard cant believe it and about 7.00$ in clad :oh and my first silver ring near the front garden.I should mention that we've only been in this house for a year so im trying to get everything out of the ground before i get my new detector.

Hoo, boy! I surely didn't need a pinpointer for this one.

I believe I have found an elephant wedding band in an 1850s farmhouse back yard. No problem locating the beast. Sounded like a manhole cover. The ring measures 6" in diameter and the ring itself is made from 3/4" steel. Most likely it is from a horse drawn wagon cross bar hitch. It's just too nondescript to be certain.

But you never know. The site could have been a wedding chapel for elephants and the hapless best man might have dropped the ring. Elephants don't have pockets. That item in the middle is a deck of playing cards, poker sized, for comparison.
