Well just in case this is my entry, Found at the top of the Toowoomba Range. I believe it is a .450 calibre pistol dated at around 1891 fired a black powder load. Thylacine knows more about it than i do as he used to actually own one that he had the pleasure of firing. Gun was as seen and appeared to operate just fine. that Gold nugget had me worried till I saw the lucky finder only had %1 activity But then who needs to win a propointer when you got a 50gramer mate awesome find that.Pictures are in the above post I cant get my computer online so please accept my previous pictures in the above post as my entry

Go Up Go Down

Yay bigpond has my service running again, Funny the guy in India said my hardware was at fault and what do you know there was a stuffed cable at the interchange. Ok homie just for yoou I'm going to do this once more, lol. Please Christian I am not spamming.
Here is my Entry ( with pictures Homie ) found it in what appeared to be an old cigarette box, I tried to recover the box as well but it disintegrated when i attempted to move it. It's been in Kero since i found it. then I put it on a cloth wheel and attempted to polish it but the chrome on the Cylinder started to peel of so I stopped. The police were a tad peeved that i polished it up and soaked it in kero, as apparently I have removed any possibility of recovering fingerprints ( I attempted to tell the idiot that it appeared to have been buried for quite some time ). I have to wait 3 months to see if it is claimed or they can find it's owner but since there is no numbers or even a brand on it, good luck with that. it has a legible proof mark on it so out of curiosity I took it to a local Gunstore to see if they could ID it, apparently it is a Belgium proof mark for Black powder pistols and could date back as far as 1891 however there is supposed to be a number that tells the exact year of production and even who passed it but the frame is in such poor condition it is illegible. The 350 said it was 2 inches down but when i dug it it was probably closer to 8". It registered as multiple targets from the extreme left all the way to the right. figuring it was just another Railway spike I almost didn't dig more than the first inch or so. But since I plan to go back there I didn't want to find it again so away I dug. It's a cool find but i would prefer to find the rumored gold. Who knows maybe next weekend. Just an update on the above post, I unwittingly signed surrender papers when I gve this to the police so I will never get it back as one forum member said I will always have the memories of discovering it, the buzz of uncovering a gun Sure as hell beats a $1 coin anyday. The biggest satisfaction for me though is the fact that I have deprived someone who had to bury a gun, from having it. although Thylacine has said it's so old Ammo is all but unobtainable. Personally I like guns just not in the hands of people who feel they need to be buried. Good luck to the other entrants, But come on guy's you KNOW you want to vote for me lol.

I hope this qualifies me, it is multiple items, but they were one signal........9 1812 buttons in one hole. The pics with my detector coil are the first 7 out of the hole. If not, i guess i will have to see what else i found that will be worthwhile. Please let me know Great
