Biggest find was a 1796 eight reales piece (with hole and shaved edge) in the plowed fields out here on Long Island, NY. Size is larger than silver dollar.
Also found a few large coppers (most in very bad shape) that range from a Georgius II British half penny (1729-1754 mint) to a Connectucut Mailed Bust facing left (1786-1787 mint).  My most beautiful coin was a Capped Bust 1829 half dime.  Pictures of all attached.
Happy hunting and good luck to all for 2010.

     Hi All,

I dug this large cent back in November in Virginia at a old home site. It appears to have a die strike error w/ missing numbers in the date. This has not been officially verified.Either way, its my beautiful bizare green lady!!

                                      Thanks for looking, Shoulderboarding

Garrett G T I 2500 Pro :

Smiley  Hi , this is Treasure Hunter This is my best find for 2009 , I bougt myself a G T I Garrett 2500 & on my first outing with it in September 2009 at an old fair grounds near me I found this nice silver ring with a center stone & it did have two black stones on each side when I found it but I put it on my left little finger & went back to hunting & one of the black stones fell out . I was really heart broken over that but it still was a good find for me that day being my first outing with my Garrett G T I 2500 Pro . I had it checked out & the center stone is not a diamond , I'm not sure what kind of stone it could be . But it's still a nice find . " Jack "   Treasure Hunter .
