Dear Forum Members,

after the first THunting.com Lottery has been a great success, I have decided to keep the prizes coming and to continue with the Find of the Year Contest!

Please post what you think has been your best find in 2007 in this message thread and you can win one of the following great prizes:

1st Prize: An original WWII Soldier's Dog Tag

{alt}

All authentic German WWII Dog Tag. Soldier's name scratched on its back. A rare find which I found many years ago. An excellent addition to any collection of military relics!

2nd Prize: 600 Years old Iron Arrow Head

{alt}

This is a fantastic, fully restored iron Arrow Head. It is huge in size and approx. 600 years old! A great piece of history!

3rd Prize:  A fine Roman Bronce Coin

{alt}

Excellent approx. 2000 years old Roman Bronce Coin. Very good condition with great details!

Here are the rules:

This contest will run from today the 18th of December to the 31st of December.

Please post pictures of what you think has been your best find in 2007 and tell us a bit about the find and how you have discovered it.

The THunting.com Messageboard Moderators will act as a jury and choose what they think are the three best finds in 2007.

The winners will be anounced on the message board and have their prizes sent to their residental address for free.

I hope that all of you will enjoy this contest and look forward to seeing your best finds of 2007!

If you would like to support the THunting.com board please spread the word of mouth for this fine contest as it will be open to all forum members and others may want to join us. Thank you!

Thanks for participating in this contest and good luck to all of you,

Christian

I'm sure this contest will bring out many neat items that people recovered over the year.  I look forward to seeing all of them as well.  Great idea Christian.  I may have to look through some of my finds as well to enter one myself.

well i guess i'll get this party started,my best find of 2007 is a 1925 2 1/2 dollar gold piece,i got access to some property just by asking the owners,the place was built in the late 17's to early 1800's,that part wasn't real clear with the owners, as far as buildings go.
the reason to go there was to try and find civil war stuff by chance,it was off the beaten path but was plausable.
anyway when the DFX sounded off it was a different pitch than a normal pull tab so i dug,and was in total shock at my find,any ways thats my entry.

thanx  Spy

hey thanks for your kind responces,i played my ace and i'm sure that someone
has a better card to play,don't be shy about your finds,i've got some other things
that are just as significant,but aren't worth squat,the coin is a monetary thing
but there are plenty of relic's that are worth way more.
post up people!!!,if you dug it and kept it ,it's got to mean something to you and maybe some of us!!!

This is a buckle I found in Nashville Tennessee. I found it a few yards from where a hunting buddy found a Mini ball. The buckle is from Stauton Academy in VA. The school was open from 1860- 1973. There is a name and address on the back of the buckle. The guy was from Philadelphia and I have tried several times to contact him and return his buckle. Can't reach him. The cool thing is they tore down the school this year. I talked with several folks from the alumni association. Anyway i though this was a cool find.
