	March Garage Sale Contest « on: March 04, 2011, 09:51:04 PM »

Rules

1 Must have been bought at a yard sale, garage sale, thrift stores, secondhand stores swap meets flea markets you get the idea.
2 Must have been bought during month of contest
3 Post pictures a must, price you paid and retail valve if you like.
4 Contest ends at midnight last day of month
5 Judging will be done by the moderators over 3 days
Note: if prize is not claimed in 30 days it will be rewarded to the runner up

This months prize is a copy Confederate Cover Up by Peter Viemeister a novel based on fact about the Beale treasure or 1000 gold pieces out of my private cache.

Start posting now for March ends at midnight on the the last day of month.

Might I suggest that you add swap meets to your criteria? Here in Oz and in the UK, the "car boot sale" brings out garage sellers by the hundreds. Last month, for example, I found a lovely item at the local swap meet which was sold by a person who used the market as a garage sale brought to his customers.

Hi,

I got this at a yard sale in derry, NH. It is a Husky Aluminum Ladder. It cost me $5.00 and sells new for $56.00.

Can it be anything? Or certain category? Sorry, I wasn't sure - just clarifying.
So, is the purpose of this to show how much profit you're making by buying it cheap and it has a really high retail value? Maybe I'm reading into this too much?
