Hi
I've never heard of ,or been to a  field detecting competition around this area where I live . I would like somebody to tell me how to organise one ,  and what procedures and rules are applied to compeditors ?
Are there different levels of competition for different types of detectors? or are different detectors ie: VLFs , BBS , FBS and PIs segregated into different catorgaries ?   what general depth are the objects buried ,  are they only coins buried and do the  compeditors dig up the coins as prizes or do they just indicate that they have found a strike and try and indentify it without digging it up ?
How are the winners awarded ?  ie: given a prize at the end of the day, or certificate?  or awarded points for each event they attend to collect a prize at the end of the season ?

Also how are these events financed ,  through a detecting club , sponsered by some company or local business  , organised by a funraising body  ie ( Rotory or the like ) or is it self funded by having an entery fee paid by the compeditors ?

               . Detecting
