Homefire, Good news and bad news. Good news for me I GOT IT WORKING!!! Clapp Bad news is I think I'll keep it at least for a while. Air test = penny-5", dime-5 1/2", Quarter at 6+inches. Not bad for a cheap detector. Should be good enough for the kids or as a backup. Smiley

Finally took it completely apart and used a jeweler's loupe to look at the solder joints. Found one cold joint in the GB circuit and poured 180 proof in the GB control.  Clapp (No not the drinking kind! Don't want to waste that! Grin) Took about two hours but it's up and running. New results of depth test looks like this in ground. penny-5-6", Nickel- 5-6", dime - 6-6 1/2 ", quarter- 6 1/2 -7 ".
Not the best but it works! I'll keep on  Detecting and see what happens.
 You inspired me to work on the thing instesd of junking it. Thanks. Touch

I don't care if they have been Run Over by a truck, Took a Swim or Just don't work.

I use these parts and or Repairable Detectors to Maintain what's left of my Sanity!

I have in the past, Provided a few local kids lower end models to learn and play with.

I Pay Shipping. I'm willing to pay a small price if I need the parts to Finnish a refurb.

Please Note: I have Never Made Money on these Detectors. Actually, this is a Liability. Cheaper then the Shrink Though!

Lower end Detectors will most likely make there way to kids and New bees at no cost or shipping only.

The better machines can be Auctioned off here on THunting.com proceeds going to site Up Keep!

Current Inventory is :  UP DATED

Garrett Sea Hunter XL 500. Functional, Being Modified to find Gold better. Control Box, Coil only. No Shaft or Head Phones.

Whites Serf Master.  PCB , Coil and Head Phones only.

Garrett S3 No Audio, Meter Functions and I just need to Get It up and Running. This one is my personal detector. 15Khz and has sniffed out some gold for me. I need parts for it too!  Head Phones shorted out , I know what is wrong with it but the part is a bit scarce.

  Sorry Neglecting my Stuff,  

 S3 Functional minus Head Phone Jack.   Audio Out put Transistor Replaced. MPS-u45.    Bit hard to find Direct Replacement was $45.00  my cost $3.00 for same under another name. Works Fine , No Head phone Jack.  This is the Young Brother of the Garret Ground Hog with Ground Hog Coil. 15Khz.  Personal unless I need to pass it on

Garrett  ADS still waiting Coil.  5.5 Khz.   Have all shafts but end broken on lower.  Can fix like I did he Bounty Hunter.  

Garrett 200XL still in stock.  Batteries Replaced but old.  Have Coil, housing but not head phones/Charger connector.  No shaft or other hard ware.

Bounty Hunter 505.  Got this one working after Repair of Coil wire  and Shaft.   Graveling with West Texes for a Free Battery Cover got me one free..  Currently Using this Detector.  Thank You Karl.

Bounty Hunter LS Camo.  Still on the Hunt for a Switch / Pot 100k Ohm (SENSE)  ..    Could use other Pot and Add Switch but want original.  Bypassed switch and worked for while but the Pot it's self pooped out now.  Hot Detector for 6khz.  Found 14k ear ring back at 7" in tot lot sand.  Thank You Bitburg !

Have a Compass 77B dead Meat.  Just Box / Coil and Dead Parts.  Works if you fiddle with it but has major issues.  Battery Test buttons are Broken.  Electrolytes are All History.  


SOOOOOO Bring out your Dead.  Dying,  Drcreped.  Took a Swim, Ran Over or what ever.  I can always use parts.  

Remember if I come up with something Worthy it will go to the Contest Board.   I pay shipping on anything I can use.

  Still looking for Bits and Bobs.   Current Inventory is a Compass 94B Real Sick.  Garrett 200XL was suppose to Return to owner two years ago but he is Neg Contact..   Have a Extra Surf PI kit from Silverdog I may do a Contest with.  ADS Garrett needing a 5.5Khz Coil.   SOOOOOOO Bring out your Dead, Dying or Run Over.   All Parts welcome.
