Riderhi all, here are some measured results of an "in air" test using my tesoro compadre and my c- scope cs 3mx, both costing around the same in the uk.  the coins used are uk denominations. the settings of both machines were to reject iron and slightly below foil............ ?1 coin=tesoro 6.5 ".....c-scope 9"....2 pence piece= tesoro7" c-scope 9"... 1 pence piece=tesoro 6" c-scope 8" 20 pence piece=tesoro 7" c-scope 9" ...10 pence piece= tesoro 7" c-scope 9.5"...5 pence piece=tesoro 6.5" c-scope 7.5"...gold ring= tesoro 8" c-scope 9.5".... all in all both machines quite impressive for less than ?200... Great

Thank you, this is interesting. Clapp

I'm a huge fan of C scope detectors, especially non motion ones;

read a lot over this 3MX, seems to be an excellent machine. Detecting

Which coil do you have on the Compadre (mine has a fixed 8" coil).
