Hey Lee...Practice until you know what the rods are telling you..Don't pay attention to people who are not capable of understand a set of dumb rods. Your personal experiences are the only thing that counts..Art

Lee are you using L-rods? mine are made of brass, but I have used clotheshanger and
even bailing wire. Seems to me that if you are seeking something made of iron, you
can enhance the response using rods made of clothes hanger and stroking them several times with a magnet. You'll know when they are magnetic if they'll stick to paperclips. Good luck.

i'm using an antenna as a dowsing device... oh really? thanks for sharing your knowledge... maybe i'll try clothes hanger...
just want to ask if the amunitions of the Japs during ww11 are made of iron or what kind of metal?

Gooner, who told you magnets on a rod will attract the rod to iron from a distance? Even the skeptics know this is not the case. You seem to be interested in learning. There is a book called "Supersensonics" by Hills that has more info that you can possibly use.

Magnets on a rod do not work the way you describe. As the rod moves, power is generated.
