Hey Everybody,
I see someone selling dowsing rods on Ebay called Colorado Gold sticks and was just wondering if anyone has tried them. The seller has got good feedback. The one statement that caught my eye was; if they don't detect Gold, Silver or platinum then it will find other metals. That is not quote for quote. I am just wondering and did not see this as a subject.

It's all about that moment when metal that hasn't seen the light of day for generations frees itself from the soil and presents itself to me.

You can build your own for about five dollars. Bill Morgan started selling the "Soundwitch" kit back in the early 1990's for five dollars. The CGS is just a cheap copy of the Soundwitch. Morgan also sold a crystal controlled version and many other set-ups. Go to Radio Shack and buy a piezo tweeter (about $4), hook it up to a battery (anywhere from 1.5 to 9 volts). There are two different tweeters, the higher one is for gold. You can try to get some info at bmorgan@sanpedro.net

My opinion is all sound type transmitters are obnoxious. If you really want to annoy the neighbors, get a frequency generator and hook up a sub-woofer (and amplifier) to it.

Hello Mike,

is this Bill Morgan, builder of the Soundwitch MFG etc. you are refering to? If syes, I can only say Bill is a very nice guyand highly recommended.

One can argue if all of this stuff works but Bill will sell it at such an affordable price you won't have to worry.

If you are in touch with hin I'd be happy if you invited him to join us. He is a very kind person and used to be a member of my old TTHN site almost 10 years ago.

Best wishes,

Christian

I bought some plans for an antenna from Morgan a couple years ago. I mentioned to him about the CGS and from what I could gather they are not connected with him.

Not to even mention the poor construction of the CGS (a piece of crap would work better for the L-rod handles) the whole problem with the piezo tweeters is they are not accurate. The frequency can be off hundreds of Hz + or -. Add to this that sound waves travel differently with different air density (pressure, humidity, temperature). You get zero consistency.

I bought them two years ago.Unfortunately I left positive feedback before tried them.
In briefe they are useless and worth nothing.
