Yep Dell,

Use a Minelab GPX 4500, has a locating depth of many feet, deeper than I want to dig in hard, mineralized soil. Detecting

I'll stick to my Minelab, you stick to whatever you are comfortable with. But I do recommend to all use a metal detector of some capabilities, such as a PI.
Hope that helps.

See you up them thar hills.
Regards
Frank

I have several P.I. Metal detectors, including an analog P.I that cost over $10,000, a magnetometer, Ground Resistivity, and Ground Penetrating Radar.  They are all great tools,  but have their limitations in searching for deep buried Treasures. Dowsing & LRL have been a great aid to me where metal detectors fall short.

As a Professional Treasure Hunter/ Salvor, I'm always looking for a better way. Thanks for your help.   Dell

No nay saying just facts, and I still say good water is where you find it and quality and amount is luck!

Check any county well records and you will know the depth you must drill down to get to good water and the GPM amount is luck of underground water flow.

Spit in your hand and give em a slap and you will get a direction in which to look for the cows, works ever time so is that dowsing or luck that you get a direction in which to look.

O.K. digger, You think you know how, where, and how deep to drill and hit the best drinking water.  Just check county records.  You say you know how Dowsing works.

But, I am  a Treasure Hunter, not a water hunter, which I assume you are a Treasure Hunter, also? So, show your knowledge, and help me out on this one?

In Florida soil, There is a sulphided chest (actually 170) of Silver coins, buried somewhere within 130 acres of jungle land. It's 13 feet down to quick sand, with salt water intrusion. The silver has sunk down to 31 feet in the quick sand.

How do you go about locating, and confirming the location, and depth, of the Silver coins under these conditions?

Anybody know how it can be done? Is it impossible?

Thanks! Dell

Thank you for the post, you know I can see now that I had a weak power supply so you have shed some light the subject for me and I do concure with your foregone conclusions. Dowzing is not for the weak mind for sure...well may be !!

Thanks
BD

My great uncle - now LONG dead - was a professional 'water witch' - a dowser for water.  People all over the south paid him to tell them where to sink wells.   He had be dowsing at 3 or 4 but it was such an accepted common thing I never paid it much attention.

One day I lost a cheap little ring I'd got from the dime store in his huge yard and garden....somewhere.  He took his branch and went out and in just 5 minutes or so found it over in his coal pile.

*HE had ME dowsing.

My great uncle and great aunts were all Christians, but no one ever questioned dowsing as being anything unchristian or occult - not at all.  Gosh he had to have been in his 70's when I was a young kid.  He did it all his life - lived a good life.  Looking back I can see some influence of Appalachian hoodoo and folk magick that was practiced, but it never seems to have been a danger to anyone's soul  - like conjuring thrush, for example - it was just seen as a way to help folks.
