Go Up Go Down

I'm pretty good with L rods and can make them cross outwards,in wards or have them both point at the target.
I will have to try a coat hanger for a Y rod, the only problem is that all my hangers are plastic now.  I guess I can go yard selling and find some or dig around for something that might work.
I bought a cheap Y rod that was made out of some sort of plastic tubing. The instructions said that you hold it with your thumbs outwards, I wonder if that makes a difference?
Just looking around my room, I see a roll of RJ6 coax, I'll give some of that a try, you never know.

kayakpirate;

Got any lumex house wire, its usually about number 14, (12 would be better.)  It is softer and heavier than iron coat hangers, it should work fine. Or a chunk of chanlinh fencing, straightened out

RG6 is a bit small (I presume you mean the center wire) and it can break, if bent too sharply.

Rebar wire is a touch fine and there is no such thing as hay wire, any more.

That leaves bronze welding rod, for oxy-acetylene.

do you suppose plain wood or even plastic would work?

Go Up Go Down

I have done this for many years, learned from my Grandma who was born in 1899.
She liked a forked willow stick and was asked by many folks to find best place for a well.

I have won bets by co-workers. Some chinese folks challenged me so we blindfolded one of their buddies and gave him 2 welding rods 3' long. Spun him around awhile and steered him across the concrete floor in a round-about way.
When the rods crossed over the tape I had "witched" before, I had won my bet.

Have used coat hangers, CB Radio antennas, and steel rods. They all work.
I don't think it is the person but maybe so.
I think it is the electro field put out by water and cables.
I just know it works. Have never tried Thunting with this.
Wiggling a gem stone over a picture sounds pretty lame to me but it may work for some.
