It is so easy to hear someone say something and you believe it. I want to give a stupid example. A guy sent me a cartoon about Halloween. Someone had a small potty and put some stuffed clothes and a Jackolantern (pumpkin) for the head. Well, underneath the potty was a pumpkin pie and the caption was something like "So this is where pumpkin pie comes from." Now if some child saw that, they would never eat pumpkin pie again. That's the same thing the skeptics pull.

Mike, you have it all wrong. I'm a skeptic because I have tried it and it didn't work. I have been in the company of self proclaimed professionals who failed under scrutiny. I have never, ever, once seen dowsing work. Even a water dowser failed when there were springs literally bubbling up nearby. It was embarrassing to watch. I could hear the water but the dowser couldn't even get close.

I don't need to see you on a potty with dowsing rods at your feet to know what's not going to happen when you dowse.

Hey GoldDigger1950..Sorry that you can not dowse..There are people who can not Dowse. And yes there are people who claim they can Dowse. In 8000 years I would think that there have been many people who can not Dowse..
Water Dowsing was proved in a 10 year study called the Betz report.

The outcome was striking. An overall success rate of 96% (by dowsers) was achieved in 691 drillings in Sri Lanka. Based on geological experience in that area, a success rate of 30-50% would be expected from conventional techniques alone.

Mate, there is water in 75% of all places where you drill. You can't take credit for dowsing that. The so called studies don't take that into consideration and they never will. It's negative.

skepticism and belief.

There are a whole bunch of people that don't
believe we have been to the moon.
A large number of people that believe that
the earth was created  in 4004 BC.
There were many who believed the earth was flat
and you'd fall off if you sailed too far west.
Some believe if you give tax breaks to the rich
and corporations, their wealth will trickle down
to the working people.
Some people believe in dowsing, some don't.
It works for some who don't believe in it,
and doesn't work for some who do believe.

I'm not trying to persuade anyone to change
what they believe or don't believe, but to open
their mind, and accept that for other's, dowsing
is a gift that they have been given.

Have you ever had a well digger come up with a dry hole? Have you ever had a well that ran dry after two people have took a shower ? I have had both expediencies. A well was dug 10 feet from the other well and I had an unlimited amount of water. Only cost me $50 dollars for the water Dowsers advice. All together it cost me $ 10,000 to get a good well?
How come if water is every where the Geologist only came up with less than 50% of the good wells..?

Were I live, just off the Mimbres River water can be had a 150ft two miles in any direction.

I can take you to a spot 12 miles from here you can find water at 100ft.  Across the road and I mean just 200ft away you will not hit water before 600ft.

It's the Geology.

I'm still a Skeptic.

I live in a town in the Nevada?s high dessert with a population of @3700 people. Our water supply comes from a well that is 600 feet deep. The well is located less than a ? mile from our only  river. The river supplies a lot of irrigation water for the farmers and Ranchers. That all depends on the snowfall in the mountains. It is 400 miles from Carson City to the Utah border on  US 50.( the loneliest road in America)..You will only find a few spots where there are people residing. Why..no water.  Keep telling us how abundant water is..Art

Soooooo, since this thread isn't really about dowsing...but, insulting those who are skeptical about dowsing does that mean it is a free-for-all? Cause I'd like to participate in that thread, and warn everyone on thunting.com and the internet how Mike is a liar, thief and conman.

Soooooo.....is this thread really about Dowsing, or just a guise to insult skeptics?
