Yes I do but not a complete fool but mind you many are duds. You can google Lake Temiskaming, Quebec and go to Ville-Marie and read the story on Hobb`s mine also I have discovered limestone
is present at this location and can be traced for a few miles.

Some of better Psychics are very good at their abilities like a gold hunter is at finding gold.

@Ridge Runnner: Rugger is obviously not a native speaker (like me). Cut him some slack ...

Well, I consider myself an absolutely rational person but have had a rather unique experience with dowsing once when I was in my late teens.  I used to be active in an amateur astronomer club that was founded by a catholic priest (who, by the way, left behind his priesthood to marry the woman he loved). He had donated an observatory (with a 120 mm Zeiss refractor) to a youth activity center in the town I grew up in. When he died in 1987 a number of members of the club decided to visit his widow to offer our condolences and celebrate his life with a few bottles of Riesling wine.

After dinner the widow asked us if we would be able to open a briefcase from his estate that was locked. Well, it was a three digit code. So it didn't take us long to open it. Within we found a few differently shaped dowsing rods and a plan of the house and the lot on which it stood. Well, all of us "young scientists" were quite astonished to find out that our mentor/sponsor had been someone who obviously believed in such mumbo jumbo but decided to put it to a test.

The plan had some red lines on it which crossed in certain locations and we went out in groups of two (one with the plan and one with the dowsing rods) and whenever the dowsing rods crossed (they were rectangular rods that were held loosely in each fist), the one with the plan would mark it. Much to our surprise, every group found that the rods crossed at the very points marked on the plan almost every time. Yes, we had all had at least a glimpse at the plan and the experiment's setup was sloppy in many other ways and none of us could rule out possible psychological effects and causes.  But since then I have found it hard to completely discard the possibility that there is something about dowsing that might just work. If it does, there definitely is nothing supernatural about it, because "supernatural" is oxymorotic from my perspective. But I have never tried it again and I doubt that it would ever beat my XP Deus on Roman coins Smiley Just wanted to share that story with you.

I suppose "psychic dowsing" is a completely different thing anyway. Is it like staring at a map while you are on Peyote and dig wherever your finger drops ? Or does it involve praying to the virgin Mary ?Whatever it is, it can't be worse than dropping a couple of thousand bucks onto a company that sells you broken circuitry from old japanese TV-sets as "Long Range Locators"  Cheesy ... So, enlighten us, Rugger !

Cheers
Cat

I guess it is grief that makes you so bitter. Let us leave it at that.

Yes! Cat am French Canadian this why my expressions are a bit off and often misunderstood  but I get by.
My believes are psychics are good with the past but not so for the future. The ones I work with are excellent.
I always put them to a test. This one person sent an image and indicating  exactly were I though it would be. (thank God for spell check)

On checking it seems there are Hundreds of Caverns Along the shore line of your lake at low water times.   Good Luck.

Enough is enough. If you don't want to discuss dowsing, stay out of this topic and this forum. We moderators don't have to protect anyone from dowsing. Like we don't protect anyone from any particular brand of detector.
