Hello Bill,

I'm just wondering what's the trick about the polaroids?

I remember having read that certain polaroid films are said to highlighten gold deposits. At least there was such a kind of story in one of the older 'Treasure Hunters Conidental' Newsletters mayn years ago.

Do you know why it doesn't work with other types of pictures, print outs etc.?  Whats the difference?

Is tere also a certain scale for the pictures? E.g. if I sent you an airshot (taken by a polaroid camera) of a larger area, would it still work?

Thanks for letting us know & best wishes,

Christian

Thansk for the e-mail Bill!

I guess I will have to tale some polaroids then. I now one area in Germany that might still hld some great lost treasures. But it is a very hard to detect ground in the mountains. Thus some air shoot polaroids might do fine in this case.

I will try to get some.

Thanks again!

Bill,
How about treasure in a lake or some other body of water.  Would a Poloroid picture be any good over water?

Louis Matacia is the author of a book entitled "Finding Treasure Auras" in which he discusses using a Polaroid Land Camera to find auras. You need a Polaroid Land Camera and SX 70 film. An ultraviolet filter is also needed for the camera. However, Polaroid stopped making the SX 70 film earlier this year and finding some of it is quite a chore. I have the camera and filter and am waiting for some of the last film made to come and then I'll be able to try it out.
Happy hunting

Irish_Eyes, yes a lot of research has gone into Treasure Auras, it has been found that what was thought to be an Aura was no more then the chemicial reaction on the film!  Bill

Irish_Eyes, Also a lot of the  Colours looking like Auras is nothing more then reflective light on the lens of the camera. Bill

Bill,
Have you read L. Matacia's book? The aura that he shows is definitely not anything reflective. It was also taken with the sun behind the camera.
I talked with a dowser lady a few years ago and she told me about a time when she dowsed an old cabin and the picture showed what appeared to be flame coming out from the chimney.  She found the cache in the rock work of the fireplace.
I will know for sure if the polaroid works when my film arrives and I'll post and confirm or deny what happens.
Best to you
Irish Eyes
