please contact James Randi, he has a video also, its one that he is willing to show anyone interested.Your LRL are deigned to make you money NO OTHER REASON EXIST,I do have a better tool for research, its called the Public Library,it is without a doubt more efficient than your devise ever could or will be.as for a 50/50 chance it has been proven time and again, you have as much a chance of guessing the location of a hidden item as using your device.if no money was involved, you would not be complaining so hard, its all about your profit margin, you use your salesman ship to convince people it works. I have no money interest in LRL at all, I have nothing to gain or loose ,I have nothing,I just dont like people who bamboozle innocent people out of their money, if you were not ripping off people I wouldn't even bother with you! I have spoken and will no longer answer these post--it disgust me

I'd like to hear from anyone who has used one or know of someone that has used one successfully.

Hello Randy,
Glad to see you have an interest in dowsing.
First of all, the sapphire rod is not electronic, the power pack adds the electricity to your body's own electricity. It keeps it steady when your body's electricity varies. Your body's electricity is what helps assist the dowsing rods to work. You can use it with the power pack off. You can get your money back if it does not work for you.
I have some of Fred's pendulums and they work great. Dowsing does work, but it's not 100% accurate.
I have found lots of items using dowsing. Don't let the non believers discourage you.
Try dowsing for yourself and you can decide if it's for you.
Jon

I have not use this type.... for dowsing Yet.. BUT....Anything you do,take time to learn. A baby don't walk the frist time,You don't fly a airplane,on the frist time out. Does dowsing work? Yes  But most people don't time to learn it. As the NEW saying GO'S  i like it now.....not next week....Dowsing is not INSTANT....I been learning for 15 years... And still finding new thing. Great

Actually, you do... very first lesson, you take off, fly, and land the plane.

When it comes to dowsing, I have to put myself into the open-minded skeptic category.    I have to be open-minded for two reasons: 1) I have seen to many things in my life that can not yet be adequately explained by science--especially those that involve human mental capabilities
and
2) I can't completely reject dowsing because to do so I would have to call my wife a liar.  Her grandfather did some professional waterwitching in Washington state and use to take her on some of his job.  On one of them, he noticed that while he was still better than her at telling where the well should go, she was more accurate than he was at determining the necessary depth.    And since she was only doing this between the ages of 9 and 11 I rather doubt that she was making it up or running a con job on anyone.

That being said, I don't see how an electronic LRL is going to work any better than a simple forked stick, bent rod, or plain pendulum---UNLESS the user believes it is going to.   The only way I can see any form of dowsing working is by allowing the user to focus and consequently pick up on some sort of clues that are below their normal awareness threshold.

 BA,
Bingo !!! You have said all that needs to be said on this subject.
Put simply:
Dowsing works
LRL's are dowsing implements
Unknown lost, buried or sunken treasure cannot be located by any dowsing method.

The Sapphire rod is not considered an LRL. Like Jon said, it puts a small electric cahrge into the user's body. This helps the person feel the resonance. But it still needs the person to use mental discrimination. A true LRL does not use mental discrimination. Now I realize some equipment claims to be LRL and probably isn't, so things can be confusing.

I have suggested a test for an LRL but no one has seemed to have any interest in it. Hide two different type taergets, say gold and silver. Then secretly adjust the transmitter to one of these frequencies. Can the user find the correct target without even know which one is being searched?

I don't buy into the "only known targets can be found" theory. This does not agree with my experience. I guess you could use the argument "it depends on what your definintion of 'is' is". My definition of an unknown target is it is not known to the person searching for it.
The Sapphire rod is not strictly a dowsing rod. It is called a Directional Locator. There is an amplifier inside the rod, don't know what all but some crystals. I realize some people are gong to say that's just a fancy name for a dowsing rod, but that is not correct. It definitely is more than just a dowing rod. I don't claim to know how it works.
