So your saying that the VX3 will be less bells and whistles and the same power?.... But will it be as programmable and versatile as the XLT was.. and still is, depending on who you are talking too!

Thats right mate, you'll find it will be just a little more useable for people like me (Numb nuts'es)
but you will still have 90%+ of the bells and whistles or in other words all the important stuff and more
will be there for the more adventurous folks too.

Why would someone want to get the V3i then?  Pay a couple hundred more for ...a little more complexity?

That mate of mine sold all his detectors because he found an older Whites machine that lets you do what the V3i does.
and that is give YOU the user 100% control or as close to it as possible as the software allows and that is what all
top of the line machines should do, not just chuck in a few preset programs and let you adjust the disc or the gain etc,
because all those type of machines are just high powered versions of their cheaper ones, being able to tune you machine
to suit the conditions completely is a very powerful tool and that is the secrete to real depth and power,
Its no good having Power if it is getting poluted by the conditions of the surrounding area.

If I remember that old machine comes with the normal manual and an Advanced manual too,
and the reason it's called the sl 90 is because it came out in 1990, the digital screen is verticle
and the resolution is very sharp mach better that any i have seen to date, But I have never seen
the screen on a V3i and I have only seen the V3i in pictures or on the net but i have read some
of the manual and the sl 90 uses C cell batteries, and the controle box is about the size of the
one on the TDI,

Well I checked this machine out on white web site and it has alot on it but as far as manual adjustables
some which are on the DFX are not on the VX3 its a great machine but seeing as they have choosen to fit the 950
coil I am wondering if it is slightly less power that the V3s because the concentric coil will have more depth than
the 10"DD and as i thought it seems a great machine there is a little less to adjust than the V3i, Its more like
a V3i version of the XLT and if the power out put is the same as the V3i then I'd rip their arms off to get one.
I'm not sure which one the V3i or the VX3, as for the V3i am I good enough to use it? Yes do I want to mess with
all those settings im not sure, So what is the VX3 its the best step to take you in to the programable world and
as easy to use as the XLT with good tones 3 frequencies loads of info, would I buy it? Too Right
